WHO WE ARE
Founder of UGOSOUND STUDIOS, Ugo Derouard is a Sound Designer & Supervising Sound Editor. He has been successfully working in Hollywood since 2006. Over his career, Ugo has collaborated with A-List Directors, Actors and Music Composers, on Award winning Films, TV Shows, Commercials and Documentaries since 2002.
He has received several Nominations and Awards, including the Peabodies in 2007, the AOF in 2009 for the originality and creativity of his Sound Design & 2010 for the overall Sonic Quality of his Mix, as well as nominations in both the 2018 & 2019 MPSE Golden Reels Awards.
Ugo’s work as a Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer has been featured many times at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2012 for the film "The End of Love" featuring Mark Webber & Michael Cera, again in the 2014 “Life After Beth” with Aubrey Plaza as well as the 2015 Grand Jury Winner “SMILF” with Frankie Shaw and Thomas Middleditch, “Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil & Vile” with Zac Efron in 2019 and a few more films, including at this year's festival.
Ugo is known for his creative approach to sound design and professional dedication to any project he takes on.
Ugosound is an Audio Post-Production boutique that offers a full range of services from Sound Design to Re-recording Mix.
Our facility is fully equipped with Editing and Mixing Suites as well as a Foley Stage, an ADR & VO recording Stage and a Loop Group recording Stage, both running with Source-Connect for remote recording.
With both a Film Department and a Broadcast Department, Ugosound Studios works on Feature Films or TV Shows with respective teams of seasoned professionals.
